Thermal Foil / Vinyl-Clad

Thermal Foil (or Vinyl-clad) is a vinyl sheet of PVC (polyvinyl chloride) that is heated and formed around a door made of MDF. Prior to adhering this surface material, the MDF can be routed to create a stylized door front. Once the material is applied, it resembles a painted door. The advantage of this material is that there are a variety of solid colors and it is more durable and less expensive than a painted door. A disadvantage is that this material is heat sensitive and looks like plastic.
