Steam Radiators & Covers

If your home is heated with steam heat and uses radiators, you may wish to install a professionally built radiator cover in your new kitchen. It can often camouflage the unit and at the same time increase its heating efficiency via convection heat. A good cover will allow air to flow through the radiator and cover. It should also have a reflective back that will return the heat forward into the room. Custom built covers can also serve as a bench or shelf.

Keep your radiator clean as dirt and dust absorb heat and reduce heat output. Covers help in this effort by protecting your radiator and reducing the time and energy needed to clean and maintain it. A cover will also protect your adjacent walls and fabrics.
