Dinnerware
Plate
racks are returning in popularity and are generally used for storage and
display. They were originally designed to store dishes above the sink
after they were washed so they could drip-dry. This is still a common
practice in European kitchens in lieu of a dishwasher since space is limited
and electricity is at a premium. Glass doors in cabinets also give you
a great opportunity to display your dinnerware or family china. Planning
for a floor-to-ceiling pantry, located near the sink and/or dishwasher,
can be extremely beneficial for storing all of your dinnerware within
easy reach.
