Materials

Unless you are doing the construction yourself, the General Contractor and/or their subcontractors usually order the construction materials. They may include lumber, HVAC, plumbing, insulation, drywall, paint primer, etc. Depending upon your DIY'er skills, you may want to do some of the finishing work (like painting and wallpapering) yourself to save some money--in which case you will purchase these items.
