Appliances
These
are the appliances that you committed to back in your Planning Phase.
They affect your floor plan and cabinetry--so changing your mind at this
time could cause a lot of problems. If you must order a different appliance
from those in your original specifications, try to find a replacement
with the same dimensions. If you can't, recognize that this will probably
become a budget buster.
You or your contractor may order appliances through an appliance showroom
or online. Some appliance showrooms will want a percentage down to order
your appliances--often 20%. Some may offer an extended warranty term for
an additional fee--weigh this option carefully. Most large appliances
can not yet be purchased online, but you may be able to initiate the order
to be picked up or delivered to a local showroom. See our Appliances
Section for manufacturer resources and e-commerce shopping opportunities.
